Randomness

OK for those of you that still don't know I've been posted to navy and am loving it. You don't get treated like dogs here in the navy and the food standard has gone up several notches. I currently haven't started my course and so we're doing some wicked PT to whip all the obese people into shape so they wont sink the ship once they get on it hurhur. I'm currently in line for best PT seeing as how almost everyone else failed their IPPT while i'm looking at a Gold award. Thankfully, I didn't take the IPPT in Tekong due to a myriad of various circumstances and they conveniently regarded me as a 'fail', so I got posted to where I am now. I'm sure I would be chiong suaing in the jungle with all those other unfortunate sods otherwise, phew. I'm really looking forward to the start of the course since I'm really loving navy life; I can't wait to get on board a ship during the JTQT course and live out at sea(yeah that will be great)! I'm really thinking about signing on if I can get posted on board a sub, cos that's like wow wee golly gee something I'd really love to do! Another really queer thing is one of my Enciks is actually my Clubsnap Junior, since I'm a lau jiao on Clubsnap, haha. I actually picked up a lens from him earlier this year and we joked that he might be training me. Guess what, he is. Talk about it being a small world. Problem is he keeps referring to me as Stoned(my CS nick), oh well.

Anyway, outside of army, I've been trying to get more landscapes done to keep my skills fresh, but mostly, the weather hasn't really been helping( why does it always rain in the evening? ) and whenever I bring out my tripod, something usually crops up and I never get round to doing it. I hope I can get it done next week though, since I'm really itching to shoot this location near Ben Sheares bridge.

I helped Joce again today, and really did some good catching up plus I got invited to have dinner with her family; that was pretty weird but it went well in the end. Thankfully she has such a nice family! It helps that I know Joan and Jane too but the rest of the family was really friendly too so I didn't feel so awkward at the table. In making the tons of shots of stuff she wanted, I happened to take some I found interesting as well; they had an eclectic sort of mood to them, which made them weirdly funny and interesting at the same time. I also shot some regular abstracts which made use of the vignetting associated with wide angles and FF cameras.

Time to share!

Here are those of Joce, where I happened to use her to create perspective; to a quirkily pleasant result (to me at least)

And here are some regular abstracts, which feature the rather interesting form of the incense spirals.

                    STONED

Welcome all to my new blog first of all. If you're reading this that means I have successfully done up a new blog myself! Whoopee! I just got really really bored of the old one. Anyhow, the 12-frame projects I was originally intending never quite came up, probably due to a lack of photographic discipline on my part. I've decided to fuse, in this new blog, my love for japanese animation with photography, so I will be providing reviews on various anime as I watch them(this should be at least 1 season a week) as well as still be sharing my photographs with you people. I've done up the site using various screenshots from my favourite anime series. Well actually, the ones I find more aesthetically pleasing. This time I tried to keep it more simple, the old one was a little busy i think, in photographic terms. Less is more, more is usually more, but not in this case.
